I’ve been photographing wild places, outdoor adventures and wildlife for over 30 years. My photographic journey started with a hand-me-down camera from my parents when I was 19. I was already a nature nerd before that, but the camera lit a fire in me. To say that things got out of hand is an understatement: I lived, breathed and dreamt nature photography. I’m not sure if it’s a passion or an obsession. Maybe both!

Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to see my photos published all over the place by clients including National Geographic, Canadian Geographic, Forbes, Destination Canada, Destination Ontario, Lonely Planet and Popular Photography. When Outdoor Photography Canada magazine was on the newsstands, I wrote the humor and bird photography columns in every issue. I’ve also been very fortunate to share my passion for photography as a keynote speaker at hundreds of events, and by leading photos workshops and tours.

My home is in Owen Sound at the base of the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula. There’s nothing I like to do more than explore the natural world with my camera, whether on exciting trips or in my own backyard.
