Nature Photography Workshops & Tours

Outdoor photography & nature photography workshops in Ontario, Canada.
Featuring locations such as Algonquin Park, Muskoka, the Bruce Peninsula and Killarney.

2015 Workshops

Wildflowers of the Bruce Peninsula (June 5-7, 2015)
The Bruce Peninsula is renowned for its unique plant diversity with 42 wild orchid species, dozens of ferns and a thousand other plant species including rare endemics.
This workshop is timed to coincide with the peak blooming periods for many species, including thousands of Yellow Lady Slipper orchids. An excellent workshop for
beginners to develop core skills of nature photography, or for intermediate photographers to challenge their artistic and technical skills.

Killarney Landscapes (August 21-23, 2015) - WORKSHOP FULL -
One of the most scenic locations in Ontario, Killarney is a landscape photographer's dream! Pink granite along the Georgian Bay shoreline, white quartzite ridges of
the La Cloche mountains towering over sapphire lakes and hills covered in Jack Pine, how can it get any better?

Waterfalls and Fall Colours of Muskoka (September 25-27, 2015)
The Muskoka region is quintessential Canada with myriad lakes and rivers, white pines growing from rocky outcrops and hardwood forests that turn ablaze with colour
during autumn. On this workshop, we'll visit cascading rivers and waterfalls surrounded by fall colours, to create beautifully artistic fall scenes with satin-flowing water.

A few highlights about my workshop style:

What Participants Have Said...

"Your exuberance, teaching skill, knowledge of wildflowers and their environs and your photographic talents made this workshop a fabulous experience for us.
We really appreciated the patience you showed and the time you took with all participants to ensure we all got the most from the workshop. Oh and the food,
accommodation, etc. were top notch. Overall a terrific weekend!" - A.G.

"It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Organization, accommodation, meals and overall atmosphere were perfect. Your knowledge of nature and photography
is simply outstanding. I learned a lot. Two thumbs up!" - J.S.

If anyone is curious as to what sort of instructor Ethan is, he gets 2 thumbs up from me. I attended his last workshop and he handled a very diverse group with
different levels of experience with wonderful skill. I don't think anyone felt like they didn't come away with something. His location-choosing skills are pretty
awesome as well
. - C.S.

"Once again I write to say thanks for our workshop at Point Pelee. For anyone interested in bird photography I would highly recommend the workshop. Your unique
expertise in birding and their behavior combined with your photographic skills allowed us to actually predict where the subjects were going to be and get the shots,
while others watched. It was fantastic."
  - B.B

"Hi Ethan, Thank you for such an organized and fun trip. Your great skill in communicating and the positive waves you send to everyone, made this weekend a blast!
I've told to you, I had never taken this many shots in such a short time. Although I've been in some of those places before, this time, I was quite motivated to "see"
better. Congrats! It was awesome."
  - T.S.

"The tour was great and I think I took a bit of a quantum leap in my learning curve thanks to your efforts.....I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations along the trails
as well."
